Recently, I read a very eye-opening post written by a licensed veterinarian about raw diets. They claimed this diet is not only unhealthy and you'd have to be delirious to subject your pets to meat, but that it's a "serious public health threat to our population." What does this mean? Is there any truth to this claim? Let's find out... Antibiotics are sometimes necessary in the event of disease, but they do destroy beneficial bacteria in the digestive system. Recently, my Howl had to undergo a 2 week antibiotic treatment for Pharyngitis and Conjunctivitis! Read on to find out what I do to heal my ferrets after (and during!) a round of antibiotics. This post was inspired by Hahnbee Choi at GSDstormy (seriously- check her out!!) buckle up and prepare yourself for all my raw feeding mistakes when I first started...
